Honor Builds Upon Prestigious Restructuring Career
Mesirow Financial Consulting, LLC (MFC) is pleased to announce that Thomas J. Allison, executive vice president and senior managing director, will be inducted as a Fellow of the American College of Bankruptcy (the "College") on March 16, 2012 in Washington, D.C. The ceremony will take place at the U.S. Supreme Court in the Great Hall and will be presided over by Paul M. Singer, Chair of the College.
Allison, who has been a leading practitioner in MFC's restructuring group, has been integral in driving successful outcomes on a number of high-profile engagements, including USA Commercial Mortgage Company, Franciscan Healthcare and MGA Entertainment. He is a Certified Turnaround Professional and founder and former chairman of the Association of Certified Turnaround Professionals.
Allison is one of 36 nominees from the United States and abroad being inducted in the Twenty-Third Class (2012) of College Fellows. All are being honored and recognized for their professional excellence and exceptional contributions to the fields of bankruptcy and insolvency. Nominees are extended an invitation to join based on a record of achievement reflecting the highest standards of professionalism. The College now has 789 Fellows, each selected by a Board of Regents from among recommendations of the Circuit Admissions Council in each federal judicial circuit and specially appointed Committees for Judicial and Foreign Fellows.
Criteria for selection include: the highest standard of professionalism, ethics, character, integrity, professional expertise and leadership contributing to the enhancement of bankruptcy and insolvency law and practice; sustained evidence of scholarship, teaching, lecturing or writing on bankruptcy or insolvency; and a commitment to elevate knowledge and understanding of the profession and public respect for the practice.
MFC Senior Managing Directors Stephen B. Darr, James S. Feltman, Melissa Kibler Knoll and Jack F. Williams are also Fellows of the College.
