National Museum of Mexican Art 7th Annual Cinco de Mayo Gala
On Thursday, May 8, 2008, Mesirow Financial celebrated Cinco de Mayo at the National Museum of Mexican Art's Cinco de Mayo Gala. This annual fundraiser helps build the Museum's Permanent Collection through a special "Fund-A-Cause" reverse auction, where funds are raised to acquire an important new work of art for the Museum. In addition, the fundraiser raised more than $397,000 for the museum's youth education programs.

Instituto del Progreso Latino 30th Anniversary Celebration
Mesirow Financial is proud to sponsor Instituto as it celebrates its accomplishments, along with its 30 year commitment to social justice, through its highly anticipated 30th Anniversary Gala on April 17, 2008. Several key Mesirow Financial executives attended the event, including: Mesirow Financial's Chairman and CEO Jim Tyree, Chief Economist Diane Swonk, Head of Hispanic Research and Strategy Olga Camargo and Managing Director Adriana Duenas from the firm's Insurance Services group.

LATINAStyle Business Series, Chicago, IL
As part of our effort to support the Latina professional, Mesirow Financial sponsors the LATINAStyle business series, one of the country's most successful business development programs for Latina entrepreneurs. The interactive business development program brings together Latina business owners with key corporations and government agencies to provide them with goods and services needed to create or expand a business.

Cristo Rey Jesuit High School Corporate Internship Program
Each year Mesirow Financial participates in Cristo Rey's Corporate Internship Program, a program designed to make college-preparatory education affordable to at-risk young people from Pilsen, an economically challenged area in Chicago. The curriculum helps students finance their education as well as acquire desirable job experience and marketable skills, develop a network of business contacts, gain exposure to a wide variety of career opportunities, refine a strong work ethic and increase their self-esteem.
