Mesirow Financial Private Equity's assets under management are intentionally managed to correspond with the anticipated availability of top-tier private equity investment opportunities. Appropriately limiting assets under management has allowed the Firm to invest in only those partnership and direct investments in which the investment team has the most conviction. Mesirow Financial Private Equity believes this highly selective investment strategy maximizes long-term investment returns while providing appropriate diversification for clients.

Partnership Funds

• Expected to commit to approximately 10-15 partnerships per vintage year during the investment period.
• Maintaining discipline in limiting the fund's maximum capitalization ensures investment exposure to only premier venture capital/growth equity, leveraged buyout and special situations partnerships.

Direct Funds

• Expected to commit to approximately 3-5 direct investments per year during the investment period.
• Maintaining moderately sized funds allows the investment team to proactively pursue and select the most attractive investment opportunities for the direct funds.
