Dan Nyhan is a managing director in Mesirow Financial’s Sale-Leaseback Capital group. He is responsible for origination, financial analysis, underwriting and due diligence. He also supports the Sale-Leaseback Capital group in the closing of transactions.
Prior to joining Mesirow Financial in 2015, Dan spent nearly nine years at Nuveen Asset Management, most recently as an assistant vice president in the Portfolio Advisory group. In this role, he worked closely with the portfolio managers and communicated with clients regarding the investment teams’ products, processes and performance. In addition, he provided trading, management and analytical support to the municipal bond Separately Managed Account group which managed over $18 billion in assets.
Dan is a member of the Urban Land Institute and a member of the University of Chicago Booth School of Business Real Estate Alumni Group.
Dan earned a BS from Miami University in Ohio and an MBA from University of Chicago Booth School of Business. He holds FINRA Series 7 and 66 licenses.
Dan played on the Miami University water polo team all four years of college.
