Adam Oakley is a managing director in Mesirow Financial’s Investment Banking group. He is responsible for developing key relationships, leading deal teams throughout the transaction process and providing advisory services on middle-market M&A assignments within the aerospace and defense and industrial sectors.

Adam has more than 16 years of investment banking and valuation experience in a wide range of industries including aerospace and defense and diversified manufacturing, among others. Prior to joining Mesirow Financial in 2004, he was an associate with Standard & Poor's Corporate Value Consulting, focusing on intangible asset valuation and other financial advisory services.

Adam serves family businesses, publicly traded corporations and private equity firms alike on recent transactions such as the:

  • Sale of Atlantic Casting & Engineering Corporation to an Undisclosed Strategic Party
  • Sale of Telefonix PDT to Astronics Corporation
  • Sale of Star Aviation, Inc. to Carlisle Companies Incorporated

Adam earned a BBA from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan and an MBA from Northwestern University's Kellogg School of Management. He holds FINRA Series 7, 63 and 79 licenses.

Adam is a long suffering University of Michigan and Detroit sports fan.
