Brian Price serves as president and chief operating officer in Mesirow Financial’s Investment Banking group. He is responsible for providing strategic direction and oversight for the group and manages its day-to-day operations. He also serves as co-chair of the firm’s strategy committee and as a member of the enterprise risk management committee.

Brian initially joined the firm as an analyst in 2006, and subsequently was promoted to associate, then to VP, and most recently to chief operating officer in Mesirow Financial’s Investment Banking group. He has more than ten years of investment banking experience across a wide range of industries, including paper, plastics and packaging, and aerospace and defense. In 2013, his achievements were recognized by The M&A Advisor, and he was named a winner of the 40 under 40 Awards for his work as a dealmaker in the M&A, financing and restructuring industry.

Brian is very dedicated to his community and supports several philanthropic causes and charitable organizations. He serves on the board of directors and investment committee of Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children's Hospital. Brian is a member of the Executive Committee for the Weizmann Institute of Science’s National Board of Directors and co-chairs its NextGen Initiative, a new initiative dedicated to inspiring the philanthropic leaders of tomorrow. He is a member of the Weizmann Institute of Science’s Midwest Board of Directors. He also serves on the board of directors for the Next Generation Board for the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum and serves on the board of directors for The Standard Club of Chicago, where he focuses on membership development and programming.

Brian earned a BS from Indiana University’s Kelley School of Business and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He also holds FINRA Series 7 and 79 licenses.

When he is not at the office, Brian is an avid reader of historical nonfiction and is a die-hard Blackhawks fan.
