Richard S. Price serves as chairman and chief executive officer of Mesirow Financial, a specialist in investment, risk management and advisory services headquartered in Chicago. Founded in 1937, Mesirow Financial has excelled at meeting the needs of its global client base by delivering tailored solutions designed to achieve measurable results. Prior to his appointment as Chairman and CEO, Richard served as president and chief operating officer since 2006. A key leader of the firm, he has been a member of our board of directors since its inception in 1987. Richard joined the organization in 1972 to establish the firm’s insurance services business, which was sold to Alliant in July 2016.
Richard is passionate about contributing to Chicago’s business community and giving back to many philanthropic organizations. Currently, he sits on the board of World Business Chicago and The Executives’ Club of Chicago and is a member of The Economic Club of Chicago and The Commercial Club of Chicago. He was appointed to the United States Holocaust Memorial Museum (USHMM) Council by President Barack Obama, to the Cook County Economic Advisory Council by Cook County Board President Toni Preckwinkle and to the Illinois Sports Facilities Authority Board by Chicago Mayor Rahm Emanuel. Richard also serves on the board of directors of CIBC Bancorp USA, Inc./CIBC Bank USA and the Big Shoulders Fund. He is the chair of The Nora Project Leadership Council, a member of the board of regents for Mercy Home for Boys and Girls and sits on the board of trustees for Ravinia Festival Association.
